2-Day/1-Night Midrange Safari – Tarangire & Ngorongoro
This short but immersive safari offers the perfect introduction to Tanzania's natural wonders. In just two days, you'll explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse landscapes, followed by the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. With comfortable midrange lodges, private 4×4 vehicles, and expert guides, this safari balances affordability with comfort, ensuring you enjoy both adventure and relaxation.
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Arusha Airport. After introductions, your driver-guide provides lunch boxes and sets off on a scenic drive of approximately 151 km to Tarangire National Park. Known as the "Elephant Paradise," Tarangire is home to Africa's largest herds of elephants, hundreds of bird species, and the iconic baobab trees that dominate its landscape. The Tarangire River, flowing through the park, sustains wildlife during the dry season, making it a hotspot for game viewing.
Spend the day on thrilling game drives, spotting lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Pause for lunch in the park's beautiful surroundings before continuing your exploration. In the evening, transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at a comfortable lodge.

Farm of Dreams Lodge or Similar
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 30,000 mammals year-round, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and the rare black rhino. The crater floor also hosts zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and an abundance of birdlife, from flamingos to vultures.
Enjoy a full-day game drive, with lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site near the hippo pool. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic escarpments and lush grasslands offering unparalleled photographic opportunities. After your safari, transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward journey. If time allows, enjoy a short city tour in Arusha for shopping before departure.
